Legend X Truck Beds
Professional Upfitting

Install It with the Work in Mind.

Use this overview to plan a safe, documented Legend X truck-bed installation. The complete approved guide remains the controlling customer document, and truck-specific work should be completed by a qualified professional upfitter.

General Installation Sequence

Five Checks from Chassis to Handoff.

This page is a planning summary, not a universal mounting specification. Always follow the complete Legend X guide, the truck manufacturer's instructions, applicable regulations, and the requirements for the exact body and chassis.

  1. 01

    Confirm the Truck and Body

Verify the Legend X model, bed length, chassis, wheelbase, cab-to-axle dimensions, payload, clearances, and the truck manufacturer's current upfitter requirements before work begins.

  2. 02

    Prepare the Chassis

Remove the original bed safely, inspect the frame and related systems, and plan any approved relocation of the hitch, fuel fill, emissions equipment, wiring, and other chassis components.

  3. 03

    Lift, Position, and Mount

Use rated lifting equipment and trained personnel. Center and level the body, preserve required cab and chassis clearances, and use the correct mounting hardware and process for the specific truck and body.

  4. 04

    Complete Electrical Work

Route and protect wiring away from heat, sharp edges, and moving parts. Connect lighting and accessories with properly rated components, grounds, protection, and weather-resistant terminations.

  5. 05

    Inspect, Document, and Recheck

Verify lights, fasteners, clearances, fuel access, towing components, cameras, and accessories. Record the installation and recheck mounting hardware after the first 500 to 1,000 miles as directed by the guide.

Before the Lift

Protect People and Equipment

Secure the work area, support the body with equipment rated for the load, disconnect power where required, and never work beneath an unsupported body.

At Handoff

Keep the Installation Record

Record the body serial number, truck information, installer, date, hardware checks, and final inspection. Keep those details with purchase and warranty records.
