The lower compartments provide side access to tools and supplies while the flat surface remains available for cargo, a welder, or other jobsite equipment.

Side-opening lower compartments keep tools accessible without unloading the deck. Viking uses two or four boxes, the integrated step provides direct deck access when the layout retains it, and the pre-drilled headache rack accepts an optional bolted front toolbox while the cargo surface remains usable.
Two- or Four-Box Lower Storage
Long bodies use four lockable flush-mounted boxes. Short bodies use two rear boxes; choosing four boxes on a short body deletes the integrated side step.
Integrated Side Step
Where the selected toolbox layout retains it, the integrated side step provides direct access from the side to the deck.
Pre-Drilled Front Toolbox Mount
The headache rack is pre-drilled for the optional bolted Legend X front toolbox, adding enclosed storage while leaving the flat deck available.
10-gauge deck support
Crossmembers carry the deck above the skirt boxes.
Ten-gauge channel crossmembers support the flat steel treadplate deck above the flush-mounted skirt compartments. That arrangement separates the cargo surface from the enclosed lower storage.
